[A prospective assessment of the diagnostic value of MAIPA test in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura].

Zhonghua xue ye xue za zhi = Zhonghua xueyexue zazhi, 2016
To evaluate the clinical significance of MAIPA test in diagnosis of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and in the differential diagnosis of antoimmune thrombocytopenias from nonimmune thrombocytopenias.A total of 321 thrombocytopenic patients (118 males, 203 females) from 14 centers were studied.

[Study on the direct MAIPA technique in the differential diagnosis of immune and non-immune thrombocytopenia].

Zhonghua xue ye xue za zhi = Zhonghua xueyexue zazhi, 2009
To evaluate the clinical usefulness of direct monoclonal antibody immobilization of platelet antigen (MAIPA) technique in the differential diagnosis of immune and non-immune thrombocytopenia.Platelet-bound autoantibodies in thrombocytopenic patients (immune and non-immune) were measured by direct MAIPA. Monoclonal antibodies against GP II b/III a, GPIb

Limits of the MAIPA assay when differentiating high-titered platelet-reactive antibodies.

Beitrage zur Infusionstherapie und Transfusionsmedizin = Contributions to infusion therapy and transfusion medicine, 1997
Experience with the MAIPA assay for the diagnosis of platelet-reactive antibodies has shown that high-titered antibodies falsify the test results. We here demonstrate 2 cases: i) A serum with high-titered HLA antibodies (100% panel reactivity in the LCT, titer between 4,000 and 12,000), and ii) Serum with a high-titered anti-HPA-1a (titer in the MAIPA ...

[Two modifications of MAIPA assays for the demonstration of platelet antibodies].

Beitrage zur Infusionstherapie und Transfusionsmedizin = Contributions to infusion therapy and transfusion medicine, 1998
The monoclonal antibody immobilization of platelet antigens assay (MAIPA), published in 1987, is now used by many laboratories for detection of platelet antibodies. False-positive results were observed with sera containing anti-mouse IgG and in cases where MAIPA was employed to characterize platelet-specific antibodies of the IgM class.

Screening for platelet auto-antibodies by flow cytometry and their evaluation by the MAIPA technique.

Wiener klinische Wochenschrift, 1999
The determination of platelet antibodies assists in the diagnosis of immune thrombocytopenia. Among the various techniques which have been used two major ways for the determination of these antibodies have entered the routine use, determination of in vivo platelet bound total IgG, termed platelet-associated IgG, PAIgG, and that of specifically to ...
