Response of Quality Protein Maize (QPM) hybrids for grain yield in diverse environments
Genotype (G) × environment (E) interaction is very important for the evaluation of cultivars in breeding programmes. Present study was conducted to assess the effect of environment and yield stability of 68 quality protein maize (QPM) hybrids at three ...

Diverging importance of drought stress for maize and winter wheat in Europe
Understanding the drivers of yield levels under climate change is required to support adaptation planning and respond to changing production risks. This study uses an ensemble of crop models applied on a spatial grid to quantify the contributions of ...

The IFNγ‐CIITA‐MHC II axis modulates melanoma cell susceptibility to NK‐cell‐mediated cytotoxicity
Natural killer (NK) cells play a central role in anti‐melanoma immunity. However, melanoma cells adapt during co‐culture by upregulating CIITA and MHC II in response to interferon gamma (IFNγ), thereby evading NK‐cell lysis. Blocking IFNγ signaling or treatment with dimethyl fumarate/simvastatin counteracts this immune escape and maintains NK‐cell ...

Background On tropical regions, phosphorus (P) fixation onto aluminum and iron oxides in soil clays restricts P diffusion from the soil to the root surface, limiting crop yields. While increased root surface area favors P uptake under low-P availability,

Gray leaf spot (GLS) disease is caused by two fungal pathogens, Cercospora zeae-maydis and Cercospora zeina. The current study evaluated 427 elite tropical/subtropical lines for their responses to GLS under artificial inoculation in Kakamega in western ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and
