The effects of coloring therapy on patients with generalized anxiety disorder

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, Volume 5, Issue 6, Page 502-512, December 2022., 2022
After the intervention, there were statistical differences intra‐and‐inter group comparisons of anxiety, depression, and positive and negative mood scales in the experimental and control groups (p < .05). The minus in anxiety/positive emotions pre‐and‐post intervention in the experimental group was statistically significant compared to the minus in ...

Perillaldehyde Improves Parkinson‐Like Deficits by Targeting G3BP Mediated Stress Granule Assembly in Preclinical Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers that stress granules (SGs) are involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease (PD). Perillaldehyde (PAE) can improve Parkinson‐like deficits in preclinical models by directly binding to G3BP and instigating liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) of G3BP.

Multifunctional Boron‐based 2D Nanoplatforms Ameliorate Severe Respiratory Inflammation by Targeting Multiple Inflammatory Mediators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
There are many limitations of conventional corticosteroids in the treatment of respiratory inflammation. Here, a multifunctional 2D nanoplatform is designed that simultaneously targets cfDNA, NETs, RONS, and bacterial infection. The nanoplatforms exhibited excellent therapeutic efficacy in vivo and could serve as a new therapeutic approach for severe ...

A Molecularly Defined Medullary Network for Control of Respiratory Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The dynamic interplay between central respiratory chemoreceptors and the respiratory central pattern generator is essential for maintaining stable respiratory rhythm and patterns, particularly during sleep. This study offers novel insights into the anatomical, molecular, and functional characteristics of a medullary network involving the nucleus ...

Advances in Fecal Microbiota Transplantation for Gut Dysbiosis‐Related Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article reviews the use of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) to treat intestinal diseases like recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection (rCDI), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It discusses FMT's efficacy, influencing factors such as donor selection, recipient characteristics, and treatment protocols ...

Prefrontal FGF1 Signaling is Required for Accumbal Deep Brain Stimulation Treatment of Addiction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research delineates that a cortical‐accumbal pathway and local FGF1 signaling in the medial prefrontal cortex are critical for NAc‐DBS to be effective in altering morphine CPP. These findings demonstrate a top‐down motif to regulate the therapeutic effects of subcortical DBS on addiction and support the potential for addiction treatments involving

Cortical Morphometric Similarity Remodeling in Traumatic Brain Injury Links Cognitive Impairments with Transcriptional Changes and Type‐Specific Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cross‐scale framework utilizing morphological similarity (MS) to connect macroscopic dysfunctions and microscopic changes after traumatic brain injury (TBI). The MS remodeling focused on frontal and occipital cortices is associated with heterogeneous cognitive outcomes after TBI and is spatially correlated with gene overexpression on CA1 pyramidal ...

Identification of Three Distinct Subgroups in Antiphospholipid Syndrome: Implication for Sex Differences and Prognostic Outcomes from a Multicenter Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large‐scale, multicenter, and two‐stage study is conducted to define antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) subgroups. By applying unsupervised K‐means clustering algorithm, the authors identified three distinct APS subgroups: obstetric APS, female thrombotic APS (tAPS), and male tAPS, which display marked differences in clinical manifestations and ...

Eosinophils‐Induced Lumican Secretion by Synovial Fibroblasts Alleviates Cartilage Degradation via the TGF‐β Pathway Mediated by Anxa1 Binding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Eosinophils play a crucial role in the progression of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA). This study demonstrates that eosinophils, induced by OVA/IL‐5, promote Lumican secretion in the synovium, which binds to Annexin A1 in chondrocytes, inhibiting transforming growth factor β2 and Smad2/3 phosphorylation.
