ZNF521 promotes acute myeloid leukemogenesis by suppressing the expression and acetylation of SMC3
Zinc finger protein 521 (ZNF521) participates in the self-renewal of hematopoietic stem cells, and its abnormal expression has been implicated to promote leukemia. However, the specific role of ZNF521 in leukemia has not been fully understood.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

CORRELATION OF FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION AND FINAL HISTOPATHOLOGY IN THYROID DISEASE: A SERIES OF 702 PATIENTS MANAGED IN AN ENDOCRINE SURGICAL UNIT [PDF]
Thyroid nodules are a common clinical entity found among the adult general population. With increasing use of imaging investigations like ultrasonography, there has been a significant rise in the detection of non-palpable thyroid nodules that require ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

SPP1 + macrophages cause exhaustion of tumor-specific T cells in liver metastases
Functional tumor-specific CD8+ T cells are essential for effective anti-tumor immune response and immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. Here we show that, compared to other organ sites, primary, metastatic liver tumors in murine models contain a higher ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
