ß1 integrins regulate mammary gland proliferation and maintain the integrity of mammary alveoli [PDF]
Integrins are cell adhesion receptors which mediate interactions between the extracellular matrix and the actin cytoskeleton. They are heterodimers composed of α and β subunits. As adhesion receptors, integrins are important for cell-cell and cell-matrix

Insulin-like growth factor binding proteins initiate cell death and extracellular matrix remodeling in the mammary gland [PDF]
We have demonstrated that insulin-like growth factor binding protein-5 (IGFBP-5) production by mammary epithelial cells increases dramatically during forced involution of the mammary gland in rats, mice and pigs.

The ovine mammary gland as an experimental model to determine the virulence of animal ureaplasmas [PDF]
SUMMARYAs an estimate of their virulence, the ability of ovine, bovine, canine, feline and simian ureaplasma strains to cause mastitis in the ovine mammary gland was investigated. Five ovine ureaplasmas produced a clinical mastitis. Broth cultures of seven bovine ureaplasmas were unable to infect the ovine gland, but two of these strains plus one other

Analysis of in vivo functions of Memo in embryonic and mammary gland development [PDF]
Studies from our lab recently led to the discovery of Memo (mediator of ErbB2-driven cell motility), a novel 297 amino acid protein shown to be required for ErbB2- and other receptor tyrosine kinase-driven cell motility in breast tumor cells.

Hematological studies in inflammation of the mammary gland in animals
The article presents the results of studies of blood samples from cats with mastitis. The studies were carried out on the basis of the North Caucasian Zonal Research Veterinary Institute - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution FRANTS, as well as in the veterinary hospitals of the SBBZH in the city of Rostov-on-Don during 2020 ...
