A Hydrogen‐Releasing Nanozyme Engineers a Mitochondrial ROS Amplifier for Self‐Sustaining Catalytic Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a RhPd‐H nanozyme that integrates enhanced POD‐mimetic catalytic activity with thermally triggered H2 release. H2 shields and reprograms mitochondria to continuously leak endogenous ·O2−. This dual‐path ROS spatially and temporally disrupts redox homeostasis, inducing persistent oxidative stress for tumor suppression and antitumor immunity,

Isolation of a nitric oxide inhibitor from mammary tumor cells and its characterization as phosphatidyl serine.

open access: yes, 1994
Macrophages from mice bearing large D1-DMBA-3 mammary tumors have a decreased capacity to kill tumor targets. This effect is due to an impaired ability to produce nitric oxide (NO) in response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation.

Decoding the Mechanism of Action of a Parasite TGFβ Antagonist Inspires the Creation of Cell‐Type‐Specific TGFβ Modulators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The mammalian TGFβ interacts with ubiquitously expressed TGFBR1 and TGFBR2, and current TGFβ‐targeting agents are non‐cell‐selective. The cooperative interaction of the modular parasite TGFβ antagonist with multiple host (co‐)receptors empowers the design of TGM chimeras and bispecific antibodies that activate or inhibit TGFβ signaling in a cell ...

Engineering Oncolytic Virus‐Armed Macrophages for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ZIFOA‐M is engineered by conjugating oncolytic adenovirus‐loaded ZIF‐8 nanoparticles onto macrophage surfaces via bioorthogonal chemistry. Upon tumor infiltration, the platform releases OA to downregulate CD47/CD24 on tumor cells, restoring macrophage phagocytosis.

Lighting up Macrophage Reprogramming Assists Immunosuppressive Niche Modulation in Primary Tumors and Tumor‐Draining Lymph Nodes of Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops an intelligent NIR‐II‐responsive nanoplatform to combat immunosuppression in breast cancer. It enables real‐time visualization of macrophage activity via “off‐on” fluorescence while simultaneously reprogramming macrophages through the CSF‐1R and CD47‐SIRPα pathways.

Spontaneous neoplastic lesions in Harlan Sprague-Dawley rats

open access: yes, 2022
S.105-107In a 24-months study, the spontaneous tumour spectrum of the Hsd:Sprague-Dawley stock was examined. Pituitary gland tumours were found in 20 per cent of the males and 39 per cent of the females.

Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Cells Utilize IL8 and CXCL1 to Suppress NK Cells’ Function and Facilitate Cancer Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells evade natural killer (NK) cell immunity by secreting IL8 and CXCL1. These chemokines suppress NK cells’ function via CXCR1/2 and enhance cancer cells’ survival through PD‐L1 upregulation and BCL‐2 anti‐apoptotic signaling.

A Plug‐and‐Play Platform for Customizing Multivalent Degraders and Degrader‐Drug Conjugates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Membrane proteins remain challenging targets for conventional TPD approaches. Here, the authors develop UPTAB, a modular platform leveraging ultrahigh‐affinity orthogonal Im/CL protein pairs for lysosomal degradation of membrane proteins. Mono‐targeted (Type‐I), dual‐targeted (Type‐II), and tri‐targeted (Type‐III) UPTABs enable simultaneous degradation

The role of NOTCH2 gene in human malignant glial brain tumours [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Background: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), astrocytoma (A) and oligodendroglioma (OG) are the neoplasms of the glial lineage in the Central Nervous System (CNS).
