Mammary Paget's disease is an intraepithelial carcinoma present on the nipple and its areola. The tumor typically develops in middle aged women. It is frequently associated or contiguous to an underlying galactophoric adenocarcinoma. The histopathologic and immunopathologic aspects are typical and linked to the presence of Paget's cells.

Replication of Paget cells in mammary and extramammary Pages disease
British Journal of Dermatology, 1984Replication of Paget cells in mammary and extramammary Paget's disease was evaluated by autoradiography after incorporation of tritiated thymidine. Neoplastic cells proliferated in the deepest layers of the epidermis suggesting a topographical control of their multiplication similar to that of the normal epidermis.

Mammary Paget Disease in Darier Disease
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2012This case describes new onset mammary Paget disease arising in the background of Darier disease. Clinically and histologically, lesions of Darier disease can mask the lesions of mammary Paget disease. A high index of suspicion is necessary to diagnose Paget disease in a patient with Darier disease, for a potentially fatal disease could easily be missed.
