Osip Mandelstam in the Works of Polish Poets

open access: yesLiteratūra (Vilnius), 2020
This article analyzes poems written by Polish authors about Osip Mandelstam. Fifteen poems by famous Polish authors, such as Artur Międzyrzecki, Wiktor Woroszylski, and Jarosław Marek Rymkiewicz, are examined.

Surface Functional Renormalization Group for Layered Quantum Materials

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 4, April 2026.
This work introduces surface functional renormalization group, a powerful method for studying strong electron correlations at surfaces of layered quantum materials. Applying it to a 3D Hubbard‐SSH model reveals how bulk coupling reshapes surface phases, uncovering regimes of antiferromagnetism, ferromagnetism, d‐wave superconductivity, and possible ...

Generating functions for giant graviton bound states

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We construct generating functions for operators dual to systems of giant gravitons with open strings attached. These operators have a bare dimension of order N so that the usual methods used to solve the planar limit are not applicable.

A mandelstam representation in potential scattering [PDF]

open access: yesIl Nuovo Cimento, 1959
The scattering from a given class of potentials including exchange forces is considered. For fixed energy one may prove the scattering amplitude is analytic in the complex cos θ plane inside the Lehmann ellipse and that each term of the Born series has the cuts and analytic behaviour conjectured by Mandelstam for the field theoretical case.

Reaching for Ancestral Heritage: Sakha Collections in the Museums of the World

open access: yesMuseum Anthropology, Volume 49, Issue 1, Spring 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper is devoted to the collections of old Sakha objects produced by Indigenous craftsmen in the north of the Russian Empire and now located in many museums around the world. For several centuries, objects representing Sakha material culture were taken away from their place of origin by explorers, scholars, collectors, and missionaries ...

Kauzmann Paradox, Supercooling, and Finding Order in Chaos

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 10, March 3, 2025.
80 years later: Kauzmann temperature (Tk), and associated entropy catastrophe/paradox remains an enigma for nearly 80 years without any unifying resolution. Potential resolutions to the Kauzmann paradox, however, have so far been limited in the existence of an equilibrium ideal glass transition and traditional description of phase transition. Continued

Toric amplitudes and universal adjoints

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract A toric amplitude is a rational function associated with a simplicial polyhedral fan. The definition is inspired by scattering amplitudes in particle physics. We prove algebraic properties of such amplitudes and study the geometry of their zero loci. These hypersurfaces play the role of Warren's adjoint via a dual volume interpretation.

To gauge or to double gauge? Matrix models, global symmetry, and black hole cohomologies

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the structure of the Hilbert space of gauged matrix models with a global symmetry. In the first part of the paper, we focus on bosonic matrix models with U(2) gauge group and SO(d) global symmetry, and consider singlets under both the gauge and ...
