Ferromagnetism of manganese compounds

Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, 1998
The possibility of ferromagnetic instability in a system with hopping between manganese cations and oxygen anions has been investigated on the basis of the concept of strong electron-electron interaction in one unit cell. A phase diagram for ferromagnetic ordering as a function of the filling factors of the 2p 6-shell of oxygen (n p

New permanent magnets; manganese compounds

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2014
The exponential growth of maximum energy product that prevailed in the 20th century has stalled, leaving a market dominated by two permanent magnet materials, Nd2Fe14B and Ba(Sr)Fe12O19, for which the maximum theoretical energy products differ by an order of magnitude (515 kJ m(-3) and 45 kJ m(-3), respectively).

Ferromagnetism of manganese compounds

Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics Letters, 1997
It is shown on the basis of the notion of a strong electron-electron interaction in the unit cell that a ferromagnetic instability is possible in a system with hops between manganese cations and oxygen anions. The phase diagram for the existence of ferromagnetic ordering as a function of the degrees of underfilling np and nt of the 2p6 shell of oxygen ...

Ferromagnetism in Manganese Compounds

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 1998
The ferromagnetic instability in a system of manganese cations and oxygen, nitrogen and phosphorus anions on the basis of the strong electron–electron interaction is studied. The phase diagram for the existence of ferromagnetic ordering depending on the filling p6-shells of anions and dl0-shells of manganese is constructed.

Oxidation of organic compounds by tervalent manganese compounds

Microchemical Journal, 1978
Abstract Optimum conditions have been found for the determination of the titer of 0.005 N solutions of hexaquomanganese(III) ion by potentiometric titration of ferrous chloride. The accuracy and reproducibility of this method were studied. A new method of determining the titer of dilute solutions of hexaquomanganese(III) ion has been proposed ...

Magnetic moments in manganese containing intermetallic compounds

Journal of Physics F: Metal Physics, 1982
Magnetisation, diffuse neutron scattering, 57Fe Mossbauer measurements and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) studies were performed on the pseudobinary (Fe1-xMnx)2Y and (Fe1-xMnx)2B intermetallic compounds. It is shown that in both systems the Mn atoms possess magnetic moments and that all these magnetic moments are ferromagnetically coupled.
