A new manganese-mediated, cobalt-catalyzed three-component synthesis of (diarylmethyl)sulfonamides
The synthesis of (diarylmethyl)sulfonamides and related compounds by a new manganese-mediated, cobalt-catalyzed three-component reaction between sulfonamides, carbonyl compounds and organic bromides is described.

The effect of substituted benzene dicarboxylic acid linkers on the optical band gap energy and magnetic coupling in manganese trimer metal organic frameworks [PDF]
We have systematically studied a series of eight metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in which the secondary building unit is a manganese trimer cluster, and the linkers are differently substituted benzene dicarboxylic acids (BDC). The optical band gap energy

Tea as a Source of Biologically Active Compounds in the Human Diet
Due to the different levels of bioactive compounds in tea reported in the literature, the aim of this study was to determine whether commercially available leaf teas could be an important source of phenolics and selected minerals (copper, manganese, iron,

Spectroscopic fingerprints of valence and spin states in manganese oxides and fluorides [PDF]
We performed a systematic study of soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy in various manganese oxides and fluorides. Both Mn L-edges and ligand (O and F) K-edges are presented and compared with each other. Despite the distinct crystal structure and covalent/ionic nature in different systems, the Mn-L spectra fingerprint the Mn valence and spin states ...

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Structural and Magnetic Properties of the Layered Manganese Oxychalcogenides:(LaO)$_2$Mn$_2$Se$_2$O and (BaF)$_2$Mn$_2$Se$_2$O [PDF]
The new layered manganese oxychalcogenides (LaO)$_2$Mn$_2$Se$_2$O and (BaF)$_2$Mn$_2$Se$_2$O, isostructural to (LaO)$_2$Fe$_2$Se$_2$O, were synthesized by using solid state reaction. The single crystals of former compound were also successfully grown by using high temperature fusion method.

Manganese and its compounds [PDF]
