Manifold learning in statistical tasks
Many tasks of data analysis deal with high-dimensional data, and curse of dimensionality is an obstacle to the use of many methods for their solving.

Evolution‐guided yeast complementation reveals functional differences in human PSPH variants
Ancient genomes can help guide which human genetic variants are tested experimentally. This study applies that idea to PSPH, a gene involved in serine biosynthesis, and uses high‐throughput yeast complementation to compare variant function. The findings reveal measurable differences among selected alleles and illustrate the value of evolution‐guided ...

Approximation of Densities on Riemannian Manifolds
Finding an approximate probability distribution best representing a sample on a measure space is one of the most basic operations in statistics. Many procedures were designed for that purpose when the underlying space is a finite dimensional Euclidean ...

Dual native G‐quadruplex folding is associated with chromatin looping at the MYC locus
BG4‐detectable G‐quadruplex (G4) in HaCaT and NHEK keratinocytes identified folded and unfolded G4s enriched at promoters/TSSs and active enhancers, whereas unfolded G4s also overlapped weak/poised enhancers. At MYC–PVT1, 3C‐qPCR detected enhancer–promoter looping only when G4s were simultaneously folded at both regulatory elements under native ...

The presence of biotin‐binding avidin proteins in fish and their biological significance are poorly characterized. We cataloged fish avidins and demonstrate that they are widely present and evolutionarily conserved. We created avd knockout zebrafish and show that zebavidin is dispensable for development and that resistance of avd knockout embryos in ...

The Thermal Statistics of Quasi-Probabilities’ Analogs in Phase Space
We focus attention upon the thermal statistics of the classical analogs of quasi-probabilities (QP) in phase space for the important case of quadratic Hamiltonians. We consider the three more important OPs: Wigner’s, P-, and Husimi’s.

Cell surface CD11c as a neutrophil aging marker molecule
Cell surface CD11chi neutrophils were more aged and had better phagocytic function than CD11c−/lo neutrophils. Transcriptomic analysis of CD11chi neutrophils and CD11c−/lo neutrophils in pediatric population showed that the most difference was seen in infants.

Orthogonality-Constrained Pilot Design for ISAC via Covariance-Aware Mutual-Information Optimization
This paper investigates orthogonality-constrained pilot design for narrowband monostatic integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems from a statistics-aware perspective.

Geometry of Statistical Manifolds
A statistical manifold M can be defined as a Riemannian manifold each of whose points is a probability distribution on the same support. In fact, statistical manifolds possess a richer geometric structure beyond the Fisher information metric defined on the tangent bundle TM.
