Analysis of Dynamic Changes of Scallop (Patinopecten yessoensis) Adductor Muscle and Mantle by Non-Targeted Metabolomics

open access: yesFoods
A non-targeted metabolomics technique was employed to investigate the dynamic metabolite changes of scallop (Patinopecten yessoensis) adductor muscle (SAM) and scallop mantle (SM) during the early (E), middle (M), and late (L) harvest period from June to

Geomagnetic Impulses and the Electrical Conductivity of the Lower Mantle [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
This thesis is an investigation of the changes in the magnetic field as measured at the surface of the Earth on the time-scale of months to decades. In particular the phenomena of geomagnetic "impulses" or "jerks" are investigated.

Evidence From Microscopy and U–Pb Geochronology as a Clue to the Influence of the Cretaceous Magmatism in the Diagenesis of Pre‐Salt Carbonate Reservoirs in the Santos Basin (Brazil)

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Carbonates from Santos Basin revealed U–Pb ages correlated with basalt ages (A), suggesting that they were formed during magmatic events. These events placed hot CO2 in the reservoir, which, when mixed with carbonate‐rich cold water (B), led to thermal convection, enabling the formation of the U contained in the carbonates.

A Rhodopsin-Like Gene May Be Associated With the Light-Sensitivity of Adult Pacific Oyster Crassostrea gigas

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2018
Light-sensitivity is important for mollusc survival, as it plays a vital role in reproduction and predator avoidance. Light-sensitivity has been demonstrated in the adult Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas, but the genes associated with light-sensitivity ...

Thermal, Elastic and Seismic Signature of High-Resolution Mantle Circulation Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A long-standing question in the study of Earth’s deep interior is the origin of seismic mantle heterogeneity. The challenge is to efficiently mine the wealth of information available in complex seismic waveforms and to separate the potential ...

Multiphase Tectonic Process With Slab Dynamics in the Northern East China Sea Shelf Basin

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Megasequence 1 characterised by Palaeocene extension and differential subsidence driven by the rollback of the subducting Izanagi Plate. Megasequence 2 records a kinematic reorganisation of the East Asian margin, transition from a rifting to a compressional regime.

Compositional trends of Icelandic basalts: Implications for short–length scale lithological heterogeneity in mantle plumes

open access: yes
Lithological variations in the mantle source regions under mid-ocean ridges and ocean islands have been proposed to play a key role in controlling melt generation and basalt composition.

Geochemical and Geological Investigation of Skarn‐Type Pb–Zn Mineralization in Hastanetepe (Balya‐Balıkesir, Türkiye): An Approach Based on Fluid Inclusions, Sulphur Isotopes and Geochemical Data

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Integrated petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical data from the Hastanetepe Pb–Zn deposit (Balya, Türkiye) reveal multi‐stage hydrothermal alteration and a magmatic sulphur source. Fluid inclusion and sulphur isotope results indicate a complex fluid evolution responsible for skarn‐type Pb–Zn mineralization along limestone–dacite contacts ...
