Vader Lexicon and Support Vector Machine Algorithm to Detect Customer Sentiment Orientation

open access: yesJournal of Information Systems Engineering and Business Intelligence, 2023
Background: The concept of customer orientation, which is based on a set of fundamental beliefs that prioritize the interests of the customer, requires companies to detect these interests in order to maintain a high level of quality in their products or ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Fully automated landmarking and facial segmentation on 3D photographs

open access: yesScientific Reports
Three-dimensional facial stereophotogrammetry provides a detailed representation of craniofacial soft tissue without the use of ionizing radiation. While manual annotation of landmarks serves as the current gold standard for cephalometric analysis, it is

Improving automatic GO annotation with semantic similarity

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2022
Background Automatic functional annotation of proteins is an open research problem in bioinformatics. The growing number of protein entries in public databases, for example in UniProtKB, poses challenges in manual functional annotation. Manual annotation

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Combining Manual and Automatic Annotation of a Learner Corpus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present an approach to building a learner corpus of Czech, manually corrected and annotated with error tags using a complex grammar-based taxonomy of errors in spelling, morphology, morphosyntax, lexicon and style. This grammar-based annotation is supplemented by a formal classification of errors based on surface alternations.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

CODON-Software to manual curation of prokaryotic genomes.

open access: yesPLoS Computational Biology, 2021
Genome annotation conceptually consists of inferring and assigning biological information to gene products. Over the years, numerous pipelines and computational tools have been developed aiming to automate this task and assist researchers in gaining ...
