Map Matching with Simplicity Constraints [PDF]
We study a map matching problem, the task of finding in an embedded graph a path that has low distance to a given curve in R^2. The Fr\'echet distance is a common measure for this problem.

Conditional Random Field-Based Offline Map Matching for Indoor Environments [PDF]
In this paper, we present an offline map matching technique designed for indoor localization systems based on conditional random fields (CRF). The proposed algorithm can refine the results of existing indoor localization systems and match them with the ...

AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES LOCALISATION BASED ON SEMANTIC MAP MATCHING METHOD [PDF]
In autonomous driving systems, a positioning method that can be used in scenarios with no satellite signals or long signal interruptions is a must. In this paper, we address the problems in map construction methods and map matching methods in scenes ...

Physically consistent map matching
An important data source for traffic analysis is GPS trajectory data. However, due to measurement inaccuracies, such data does not necessarily align well with data describing the road network. Hence, GPS data typically needs to be aligned with the road network before further analysis can take place; this process is called map matching.
