Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

A robust model-free approach for rare variants association studies incorporating gene-gene and gene-environmental interactions. [PDF]
Recently more and more evidence suggest that rare variants with much lower minor allele frequencies play significant roles in disease etiology. Advances in next-generation sequencing technologies will lead to many more rare variants association studies ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Simplified marginal effects in discrete choice models [PDF]
Abstract We show that with a simple normalization of explanatory variables, marginal effects in probit and logit models simplify dramatically, becoming a function of only the estimated constant term. Related simplifications hold for computation of asymptotic variances of these effects.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Understanding Marginal Structural Models for Time-Varying Exposures: Pitfalls and Tips
Epidemiologists are increasingly encountering complex longitudinal data, in which exposures and their confounders vary during follow-up. When a prior exposure affects the confounders of the subsequent exposures, estimating the effects of the time-varying

Identifying Gene–Environment Interactions With Robust Marginal Bayesian Variable Selection
In high-throughput genetics studies, an important aim is to identify gene–environment interactions associated with the clinical outcomes. Recently, multiple marginal penalization methods have been developed and shown to be effective in G×E studies ...
