Marine Fish Tissue Culture

Journal of the Fisheries Research Board of Canada, 1963
Cell proliferation of tissue explants of different organs from marine fish has been achieved in a nutrient solution composed of Medium 199 plus 10% human serum. Fin, spleen, heart, kidney, liver, gonad, brain, uterus, and thymus tissues have been cultured.

Ichthyophonusinfections in cultured marine fish from Spain

Journal of Fish Biology, 1997
Ichthyophonus sp. is reported for the first time in Mugil capito (thinlip grey mullet) and Li a saliens (leaping grey mullet). The fungus was also found in L. aurata (golden grey mullet), Dicentrarchus labrax (sea bass), Sparus aurata (gilthead sea bream) and Scophthalmus maximus (turbot), whereas Mugil cephalus (grey mullet) was not parasitized.

Culture technology of marine rotifers and the implications for intensive culture of marine fish in Japan

Marine and Freshwater Research, 1996
In order to expand the practice of rearing marine finfish larvae, it is necessary to increase and stabilize the production of live feed. Latest researches on rotifer culture technology in Japan have aimed at these objectives. This paper summarizes the progress on the technology of high-density rotifer mass cultures.

Dissolved Oxygen Variations in Marine Fish Culture Zone

Journal of Environmental Engineering, 1991
Extensive field measurements aimed at studying short-term dissolved oxygen (DO) variability have been carried out in a marine fish culture zone in Hong Kong. A dynamic oxygen budget model is developed to analyze the diurnal water-quality data from a series of 26-hr surveys.

Forecasting of Dissolved Oxygen in Marine Fish Culture Zone

Journal of Environmental Engineering, 1991
Short‐term trends in dissolved oxygen in a weakly flushed marine fish culture zone in Hong Kong are studied by a real‐time water‐quality model with seven system variables: dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll‐a, organic nitrogen, ammonia, nitrate, zooplankton, and sediment algal carbon. The carbon‐chlorophyll ratio is computed as a function of a time‐variable
