Diagnosis and surgical treatment of cutaneous neurofibroma in a goldfish (Carassius auratus)
Veterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, November 2026.Abstract A goldfish (Carassius auratus) from a pet store was presented with a nodular lesion on the dorsal cranial region. The fish exhibited normal swimming behaviour and appetite. Clinical evaluation, haematology analysis, and radiography confirmed a superficial cutaneous mass without internal organ involvement.

Evidence of parental care as a newly identified reproductive isolating barrier

Here, we show that a previously undescribed mechanism, parental care, can function as a postzygotic reproductive isolating barrier when dysregulated in hybrids.
