Prospective LCA of E‐Methanol Along the Transformation of Steel Industry

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
The environmental effects of change in steel production route on e‐methanol production are analyzed as they shift from blast furnace route to direct reduction route. Specific hydrogen demand reduces, as do the avoided CO2 emissions. E‐methanol's overall carbon footprint stays in a narrow range of −1 to −1.1 kg‐CO2‐eq./kg‐methanol.

Microwave‐assisted catalytic pyrolysis of textile wastes: Synergistic effects and product characteristics

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract This study examines the microwave‐assisted catalytic pyrolysis (MACP) of individual and blended textiles (cotton, polyester, nylon 6) using ZnO and a ZnO/natural zeolite catalyst. In a custom‐built microwave reactor operated at 500°C, 1 kW power, and a 15‐min residence time, textile wastes were pyrolyzed.

Strategic Integration or Compliance Lag? Mapping Trends and Evolution of SBSC Through the Lens of the ESRS Framework

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The sustainability balanced scorecard (SBSC) has become an influential framework for integrating sustainability into strategic management. Despite its growing adoption, research remains fragmented, and insufficiently aligned with the sustainability regulatory frameworks.

Selective Modification of the Product Profile of Biocatalytic Hydrolyzed PET via Product‐Specific Medium Engineering

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The product profile of enzymatically hydrolyzed PET can be modified by medium engineering and thereby adapted to a desired product. TPA, MHET or BHET can be forced as the predominant product using a basic pH (blue), 25 % ethylene glycol (EG) and IsPETasewt (green) or ≥25 % EG and LCCICCG (pink), respectively.

A shining starlet: Nematostella vectensis as a model for developmental, regenerative, and comparative biology

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract The sea anemone, Nematostella vectensis, has been used as a model organism in developmental biology studies for many years. This estuarine species has the notable capacity to regenerate its full body plan from small pieces throughout life. Nematostella have been described as having a great degree of cellular plasticity.

Boosting Built‐In Electric Field via Asymmetric Architecture for Synergistic Production of H2O2 and Benzaldehyde

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Asymmetric architecture was built for synergistic production of H2O2 and benzaldehyde. The reaction mechanism involves the synergistic utilization of electrons and holes, which jointly enables efficient oxygen activation to support the simultaneous production of two high‐value products.
