Interpreting antibody identification tests with large language models: Critical role of tabular data formatting

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Antibody identification testing is essential for preventing hemolytic transfusion reactions from unexpected red cell antibodies. Although automated interpretation is desirable to improve efficiency and consistency, conventional algorithmic approaches show limited accuracy, particularly in complex cases.

Root trait dynamics of historical canola varieties under low and high nitrogen supply

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 9, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract Nitrogen fertilizer is a major input cost in crop production, making it crucial to enhance nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) to reduce fertilizer dependence without compromising yields. Root system architecture (RSA) is a key determinant of nutrient acquisition, particularly under nutrient‐limited conditions.

Pixel‐level supervision resolves overlap: Benchmarking YOLOv12 segmentation for accurate multi‐cluster dry bean stand counting from time series unoccupied aerial systems imagery

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 9, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract An agronomic trait such as stand count is important for cultivar development and crop management practices. Manually counting the number of plants is time consuming, labor‐intensive, and prone to error. The use of unoccupied aerial systems (UAS)‐collected red, green, blue (RGB) imagery in conjunction with advanced deep learning and image ...

Millennials' Hybrid Consumer Identities: Balancing Consumer Ethnocentrism

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, Volume 43, Issue 10, Page 2680-2701, October 2026.
ABSTRACT While consumer ethnocentrism has been widely examined, little is known about how consumers manage the persistent gap between ethnocentric attitudes and everyday purchasing behavior. Drawing on balance theory (Heider 1958), this study conceptualizes consumer ethnocentrism as a situationally activated balancing process rather than a stable ...

Dundee Discussion Papers in Economics 191:Non-stationary inflation and the markup: an overview of the research and some implications for policy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper reports on research into the negative relationship between inflation and the markup. It is argued that this relationship can be thought of as ‘long-run’ in nature which suggests that inflation has a persistent effect on the markup and ...

The Role of Labour Market Institutions in Shaping Euro Area Monetary Policy Transmission

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 5, Page 919-936, October 2026.
ABSTRACT We examine how labour market institutions shape monetary policy transmission in euro area countries. A theoretical model suggests that higher union density flattens the Phillips curve, amplifying output responses while dampening the inflation effects of monetary shocks. This is empirically confirmed using an interacted panel VAR.

When Plain Language Deceives: Frequent but Generic Words and Misleading Sentence Simplicity in a Mobile Phone Advertisement—An Eye‐Tracking and Decision‐Task Study

open access: yesApplied Cognitive Psychology, Volume 40, Issue 5, September/October 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how plain and apparently simple language can mislead readers in online advertising. Using eye‐tracking and a forced‐choice task, we compared an original smartphone advertisement with a revised version. The revision replaced frequent and generic wording with more specific expressions and substituted a declarative verbal ...

Deep learning cone‐beam computed tomography image segmentation for the 3D visualization of mandibular infraosseous periodontal defects

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, Volume 97, Issue 9, Page 1847-1859, September 2026.
Abstract Background The accurate assessment of infraosseous periodontal defects is crucial for effective diagnosis and treatment planning. Cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT) enables detailed imaging of these defects; however, to leverage their full potential, CBCT images must be reconstructed in 3 dimensions (3D).
