Mass Loss Rates of Fasting Polar Bears
Physiological and Biochemical Zoology, 2016Polar bears (Ursus maritimus) have adapted to an annual cyclic regime of feeding and fasting, which is extreme in seasonal sea ice regions of the Arctic. As a consequence of climate change, sea ice breakup has become earlier and the duration of the open-water period through which polar bears must rely on fat reserves has increased.

Mass-Loss Rate for MF Resin Microspheres
IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2004This paper deals with the influence of experimental conditions on properties of melamine formaldehyde resin particles. Motivation for this study was the fact that many laboratories and experimenters use these particles as samples for dust plasma investigations.

Measuring mass loss rates in free burning fires
Fire Technology, 1971Accurate data on mass loss rates of fuels in large, free-burning fires are scant. However, the authors report a method of making such measurements, which, when tested, provided reliable data.
