The Apoptosis Regulator 14-3-3η and Its Potential as a Therapeutic Target in Pituitary Oncocytoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2019
The 14-3-3 protein family has attracted much attention in research into the pathogenesis of human tumors because of its involvement in tumorigenesis. In previous studies, we found that 14-3-3η was highly expressed in pituitary oncocytoma.

The Perils of Clumpfind: The Mass Spectrum of Sub-structures in Molecular Clouds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We study the mass spectrum of sub-structures in the Perseus Molecular Cloud Complex traced by 13CO (1-0), finding that $dN/dM\propto M^{-2.4}$ for the standard Clumpfind parameters.

Mass spectrum of pentaquarks

open access: yes, 2004
We discuss the properties of the pentaquark in a collective stringlike model with a nonplanar configuration of the four quarks and the antiquark. In an application to the mass spectrum of exotic Theta baryons, we find that the ground state pentaquark has angular momentum and parity J(p)=1/2(-) and a small magnetic moment of 0.382 nuclear magnetons. The

T-duality in M-theory and supermembranes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The (q_1,q_2) SL(2,Z) string bound states of type IIB superstring theory admit two inequivalent (T-dual) representations in eleven dimensions in terms of a fundamental 2-brane.

USE OF GAMMA–GAMMA COINCIDENCE TECHNIQUE IN INVESTIGATING GAMMA – RAYS ATTENUATION AT DIFFERENT ENERGIES

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Pure Science, 2023
A gamma–gamma fast –slow coincidence spectrometer composed of two 3"×3"NaI(Tl) detectors  and peripheral electronics is used in investigating some effects on the photo peak  after the penetration of gamma –rays from lead.

Covariance of the One-Dimensional Mass Power Spectrum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We analyse the covariance of the one-dimensional mass power spectrum along lines of sight. The covariance reveals the correlation between different modes of fluctuations in the cosmic density field and gives the sample variance error for measurements of ...

Renormalized spectrum of quasiparticle in limited number of states, strongly interacting with two-mode polarization phonons at T=0 K

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2021
Within unitary transformed Hamiltonian of Fröhlich type, using the Green's functions method, exact renormalized energy spectrum of quasiparticle strongly interacting with two-mode polarization phonons is obtained at T=0 K in a model of the system with ...

Mass spectrum and thermodynamics of quasi-conformal gauge theories from gauge/gravity duality

open access: yes, 2011
We use gauge/gravity duality to study simultaneously the mass spectrum and the thermodynamics of a generic quasi-conformal gauge theory, specified by its beta function.

Automated mass spectrum generation for new physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We describe an extension of the FeynRules package dedicated to the automatic generation of the mass spectrum associated with any Lagrangian-based quantum field theory.

Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography–Electrospray Ionization–High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry for Distinguishing the Origin of Ellagic Acid Extracts: Pomegranate Peels or Gallnuts

open access: yesMolecules
Ellagic acid, known for its various biological activities, is widely used. Ellagic acid from pomegranate peels is safe for consumption, while that from gallnuts is only suitable for external use. However, there is currently no effective method to confirm
