Purification tags markedly affect self‐aggregation of CPEB3

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Although recombinant proteins are used to study protein aggregation in vitro, uncleaved tags can interfere with accurate interpretation. Our findings demonstrate that His₆‐GFP and His₁₂ tags significantly affect liquid droplet and amyloid fibril formation in the intrinsically disordered region (IDR) of mouse cytoplasmic polyadenylation element‐binding ...

Circulating histones as clinical biomarkers in critically ill conditions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circulating histones are emerging as promising biomarkers in critical illness due to their diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic potential. Detection methods such as ELISA and mass spectrometry provide reliable approaches for quantifying histone levels in plasma samples.

Baryon Mass Spectrum [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 1958
The possibility has been pointed out that if the relative parity between nucleons and particles is assumed to be odd, the lowest order self-energies of baryons coming from the charge-independent strong interaction give the observed baryon mass level ordering. Schwinger also suggested such a level splitting in a discussion of the isospace symmetry.

Single‐cell insights into the role of T cells in B‐cell malignancies

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Single‐cell technologies have transformed our understanding of T cell–tumor cell interactions in B‐cell malignancies, revealing new T‐cell subsets, functional states, and immune evasion mechanisms. This Review synthesizes these findings, highlighting the roles of T cells in pathogenesis, progression, and therapy response, and underscoring their ...

Top-quark mass from the diphoton mass spectrum

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
We calculate the $$gg\rightarrow \gamma \gamma $$ g g → γ γ amplitude by including the $$t\bar{t}$$ t t ¯ bound-state effects near their mass threshold.

The Mass-Spectrum of Copper [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1923
THE number of elements of which the isotopic nature has been determined is now large enough to give considerable weight to statistical relations. Among elements of odd atomic number two definite empirical rules stand out. The first is that none of them consists of more than two isotopes. This has no exception so far.

Golgi-targeting viscosity probe for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease

open access: yesScientific Reports
Early diagnosis and intervention of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) are particularly important to delay the pathological progression. Although fluorescent probes have been widely employed for investigating and diagnosing AD, their biological applications are ...
