Geomorphology of the Maladeta massif (Central Pyrenees): the traces of the last remaining glaciers
We present a 1:15,000 geomorphological map of the Maladeta massif in the Central Pyrenees. Our methodology includes fieldwork, the analysis of aerial photographs from 1956 to 2015, and the use of drone flights from 2020 to 2023.

Tourist Activities-Disturbance Factors of Natural Environment in Ciucaș Massif [PDF]
The study outlines how tourism activities can disturb the natural environment in Ciucaș Massif. Methods used are based on bibliographic research and GIS analysis of morphometric features. Results show that the Ciucaș Massif, as one of the most important

The characteristics of settlement of Neanderthals in northern Central Europe during the earlier phases of the Middle Palaeolithic (Marine Isotope Stage 8–6) have been a matter of debate for decades, specifically regarding the population dynamics at such latitudes during the coldest phases. In this paper, we review the known archaeological record of the

We present a 25‐stage reconstruction of the ice‐flow pattern evolution of the Scandinavian Ice Sheet based on mapping and analysis of ~240 000 subglacial lineations and lineation fields across Norway, Sweden, Finland, and parts of NW Russia. Our reconstruction uses a glacial geomorphological inversion approach, in which we generated 611 individual ...

Sedimentary provenance of siliciclastic rocks from the Lalla Mouchaa Calcschists Formation (Coastal Block, Western Rehamna): Evidence of denudation of ca. 2 Ga basement in the Moroccan Meseta. [PDF]
Paleoproterozoic basement rocks (ca. 2Ga) are scarce along the European and North African Paleozoic mountain chains (Fig.1a). In Morocco, ca. 2.2-2Ga granitic rocks (Gasquet et al., 2008; Kouyaté et al., 2013) have been exclusively reported in the ...

Analysis of operation parameters of partial backfilling in the context of selective coal mining [PDF]
Purpose is to determine factors of effect of mechanical parameters and geometry of packs, constructed using the undercut rocks in the process of selective coal mining, on the state of geomechanical system within a mine working-stope junction during a ...
