Dynamic Control of Synaptic Plasticity by Competing Ferroelectric and Trap‐Assisted Switching in IGZO Transistors with Al2O3/HfO2 Dielectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A frequency‐tunable ferroelectric synaptic transistor based on a buried‐gate InGaZnO channel and Al2O3/HfO2 dielectric stack exhibits linear and reversible weight updates using single‐polarity pulses. By switching between ferroelectric and trap‐assisted modes depending on input frequency, the device simplifies neuromorphic circuit design and achieves ...

Observational Properties of 155 β Cephei Pulsating Variable Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
β Cephei pulsating variable (BCEP) stars are the most massive pulsating variable stars in the main sequence, exhibiting both p - and g -mode pulsations. In this study, we identified 155 BCEP stars or candidates using data from TESS and Gaia, of which 83 ...

SGRs and AXPs: Evidence for Delayed Amplification of Magnetic Field after Neutron Star Formation?

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2009
We present new analysis of the birth rate of AXPs and SGRS and their associated SNRs. Using Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistics together with parametric fits based on a robust estimator, we find a birth rate of ∼1/(1000 years) for AXPs/SGRs and their ...

Rapid Sintering of Porous Organic Polymer Powders Into Mechanically Strong Monoliths for Efficient CO2 Capture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spark plasma sintering enables rapid processing of porous organic polymer (POP) from fine powders to a freestanding and mechanically robust monolith. The sintering process retains the CO2 adsorption capacity and CO2/N2 selectivity, making the monolith more suitable as a solid sorbent for practical carbon capture applications.

Golden‐Ratio–Guided Aperiodic Architected Metamaterials with Simultaneously Enhanced Strength and Toughness

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Guided by the golden ratio, a class of aperiodic architected metamaterials is introduced to address the intrinsic trade‐off between strength and toughness. By unifying local geometric heterogeneity with global order, the golden‐ratio‐guided aperiodic architecture promotes spatial delocalization of damage tolerence regions, leading to more tortuous ...

Evidence of Galactic Interaction in the Small Magellanic Cloud Probed by Gaia-selected Massive Star Candidates

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
We present identifications and kinematic analysis of 7426 massive (≥8 M _⊙ ) stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), using Gaia DR3 data. We used the Gaia ( G _BP − G _RP , G ) color–magnitude diagram to select the population of massive stars, and ...
