BDNF Haplotype and Personality Traits May Influence the Development of Alcohol Use Disorder in the Han Chinese Population. [PDF]

open access: yesAddict Biol
Genetic and personality factors jointly shape alcohol use disorder (AUD). We identified a BDNF haplotype associated with AUD and found that higher novelty seeking, harm avoidance and impulsivity characterise patients, especially early‐onset cases. These findings provide insights into AUD vulnerability.

[[alternative]]The Literary Expression and Effect of the “Sound of the Human World” Lyrics of Master Hsing Yun

open access: yes, 2022

[[alternative]]A Discussion on "Four Givings" and Religious Feelings of Master Hsing-Yun

open access: yes, 2022

[[alternative]]Wisdom and artistic in Hsing Yun Speaking of Metaphors

open access: yes, 2022

Applying Baculovirus Surface Display Technology for Influenza Cytokine Profiling, Serological Detection and Antiviral Screening

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 19, Issue 6, June 2026.
By displaying the hemagglutinin (HA) or neuraminidase (NA) proteins of influenza viruses on the surface of baculoviruses and infected insect cells, a safe and flexible pseudovirus system capable of performing cytokine analysis, serological detection and antiviral drug screening is established.

Endophytic Biostimulant Pyrroloquinoline Quinone Enhances Banana Growth and Primes Immunity Against Fusarium Wilt

open access: yesPhysiologia Plantarum, Volume 178, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is a redox cofactor derived from prokaryotes that participates in various biological processes involving dehydrogenase enzymes. Previous field trials identified a PQQ‐producing endophyte, Burkholderia seminalis 869T2, which enhances banana growth and reduces Fusarium wilt incidence from 24.5% to 3.4%.

Buddhism in Australia: A Maturing, Multidisciplinary Field of Inquiry

open access: yesReligion Compass, Volume 20, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT In 2012, Anna Halafoff, Ruth Fitzpatrick and Kim Lam applied Paul Numrich's framework to the study of Buddhism in so‐called Australia, to determine if it constituted a distinct field of study. They concluded that it was an emerging field, according to Numrich's three categories of specialisation, organisation and publication.

Molecular Phylogeny, Species Delimitation, and Biogeography of the Varunid Crab Genus Metaplax (Crustacea, Varunidae)

open access: yesZoologica Scripta, Volume 55, Issue 3, Page 504-518, May 2026.
ABSTRACT The Indo‐West Pacific genus Metaplax comprises 11 recognised species inhabiting intertidal mudflats, some adjacent to mangroves. To resolve long‐standing uncertainties, we analysed mitochondrial (COI, 16S) and nuclear (28S) markers. Phylogenetic analyses recovered Metaplax as monophyletic and resolved four well‐supported clades—the M ...
