Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

An Age- and Sex-Controlled Matched Pair Analysis of T Scores in Ethnic Indians with Hip Fractures
Objective. The first study to predict peritrochanteric fractures by the use of T scores amongst the Indian population was performed. This study aimed to assess the risk of fracture around the hip in peri-menopausal and postmenopausal women, and in men ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Acute caffeine treatment protects the developing retina from ischemia‐induced cell death
Caffeine reduces cell death in the developing retina under ischemia (OGD). This effect does not involve BDNF upregulation or antioxidant pathways (NRF2/VEGF). Neuroprotection occurs mainly through adenosine A2A receptor antagonism, decreasing glutamate release and excitotoxicity, highlighting caffeine's potential as an acute neuroprotective agent in ...

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Kinetic moments of Vlasov dynamics: a matched pair analysis
This talk is based on [1]. We first present a gentle introduction to the Hamiltonian (Lie-Poisson) analysis of dynamical systems. Then we recast the dynamics of kinetic moments of Vlasov equation from the matched pair decomposition point of view. That is, we present the moment dynamics as a coupling of mutually interacting (Lie-Poisson) subdynamics. We
