Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Labor market matching with heterogeneous job seekers in China [PDF]

open access: yes
Our study provides empirical evidence for matching functions with three heterogeneous groups of job seekers in China, and bridges the gap of matching function estimation of the Chinese labor market.

On the uniqueness of probability matching priors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Probability matching priors are priors for which Bayesian and frequentist inference, in the form of posterior quantiles, or confidence intervals, agree to some order of approximation.

A detection method of Android system vulnerabilities based on matching

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2016
Android system has occupied the majority share of smart mobile operating systems. However,Android system has worrying security issues. It frequently bursts high-risk vulnerabilities in recent years, which is a big security risk to the majority of Android ...

Mix and match

open access: yesProceedings of the 11th ACM conference on Electronic commerce, 2010
Consider a matching problem on a graph where disjoint sets of vertices are privately owned by self-interested agents. An edge between a pair of vertices indicates compatibility and allows the vertices to match. We seek a mechanism to maximize the number of matches despite self-interest, with agents that each want to maximize the number of their own ...

Identification of the plant mitochondrial OrfX protein: A mass spectrometry approach

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mitochondrial genome of plants contains an open reading frame, orfx, which encodes a rare protein that has so far escaped mass spectrometric detection. The protein resembles the c‐subunit of bacterial twin‐arginine‐motif‐dependent protein translocases (TatC).

Assortative Matching and Reputation [PDF]

open access: yes
Consider Becker's classic 1963 matching model, with unobserved fixed types and stochastic publicly observed output. If types are complementary, then matching is assortative in the known Bayesian posteriors (the 'reputations').

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Aggregate Matching Function. The Case of Poland [PDF]

open access: yes
The main goal of this paper is to analyze the matching function in the Polish labour market in 1994-2008. Matching function is the relationship between outflows from unemployment to employment and the number of unemployed persons and vacancies as well as

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
