Study of guppies’ numerical abilities using the matching-to-sample paradigm.

open access: yes

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Propensity Score Matching Methods for Non-experimental Causal Studies [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper considers causal inference and sample selection bias in non-experimental settings in which: (i) few units in the non-experimental comparison group are comparable to the treatment units, and (ii) selecting a subset of comparison units similar ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

EFECTO DE DOS TIPOS DE DESCRIPCIONES PRECONTACTO SOBRE LA EJECUCIÓN INSTRUMENTAL Y DESCRIPCIONES POSCONTACTO EN TAREAS DE IGUALACIÓN DE LA MUESTRA [PDF]

open access: yesActa Colombiana de Psicología, 2010
The effects of different kinds of pre-contact descriptions were assessed: a) one specific and pertinent (EP) in the situation components of the stimulus (SE), Response (R), and Consequences (C); and b) one that shows variations about the correct and ...

The Principal-Agent Matching Market [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a model based on competitive markets in order to analyse an economy with several principals and agents. We model the principal-agent economy as a two-sided matching game and characterise the set of stable outcomes of this principal-agent ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Estimating Causal Effects with Matching Methods in the Presence and Absence of Bias Cancellation [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper explores the implications of possible bias cancellation using Rubin-style matching methods with complete and incomplete data. After reviewing the naïve causal estimator and the approaches of Heckman and Rubin to the causal estimation problem ...

Investigation of rule control by controlling the effetcts of reinforcement history on human behavior / Investigação do controle por regras e do controle por histórias de reforço sobre o comportamento humano

open access: yesPsicologia: Reflexão e Crítica, 2004
This study investigated the role of experimental history and of relative density of reinforcement on rule following behavior. Sixteen undergraduate students participated.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
