Friction and Wear Behaviour of Graphite Filled Polymer Composites in Hydrogen Environment
High performance polymer composites have been intensively investigated for tribological applications in air, but rarely in hydrogen environment. Author’s previous benchmark of composites in liquid hydrogen (LH2) showed that graphite filled polymers have ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Feasibility Study on Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Ferritic Steel in High Vacuum Atmosphere
The boiling point of metals is dependent on the ambient pressure. Therefore, in laser-based fusion welding and additive manufacturing processes, the resulting process regime, ranging from heat conduction welding to the keyhole mode, is also influenced by

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Long-Term Materials Test Program: materials exposure test plan [PDF]
The Long Term Materials Test Program is designed to identify promising corrosion resistant materials for coal-fired gas turbine applications. Resistance of materials to long term accelerated corrosion will be determined through realistic PFB environmental exposure of candidate turbine materials for up to 14,000 hours.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
