Molecular Mechanism of Mulberrin Regulating Lipid Metabolism Homeostasis Based on the Gut–Liver Axis Fiaf/AMPK Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 2, March 2026.
The molecular mechanism for mulberrin regulating lipid metabolism homeostasis. ABSTRACT Lipid metabolism disorders and the induced metabolic diseases have risen to become one of the primary public health issues. Our preliminary experimental results confirmed that mulberry leaf flavonoid extract exhibited efficacy in lipid metabolism regulation; the ...

Ganoderic Acid A Enhances Glycometabolism in Mouse Gastrocnemius Muscle During Exercise‐Induced Fatigue via AMPK/PGC‐1α Pathway Activation

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study investigated the effects of GAA, an active ingredient in Ganoderma lucidum, on exercise‐induced fatigue. GAA effectively enhances exercise performance by improving endurance duration while simultaneously reducing metabolic byproducts and muscle fiber damage.

Protective Effect of Protaetia brevitarsis Larvae Extract on Alcoholic Liver Disease in Mice

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study evaluated the hepatoprotective effects of Protaetia brevitarsis larvae water extract (PBLE) in a chronic‐plus‐binge ethanol mouse model. PBLE attenuated hepatic lipid accumulation and liver injury by modulating alcohol metabolism‐related enzymes and reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.

A Freshwater Pearl Mussel Polysaccharide Alleviates Inflammatory Pain by Targeting Peripheral Cytokines and Spinal Astroglial NLRP3/GFAP Responses

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
Mussel polysaccharide (MP), a novel food resource from pearl mussels, alleviates inflammatory pain in rats in a dose‐dependent manner. It acts by dually inhibiting peripheral inflammation (reducing paw swelling and pro‐inflammatory cytokines) and spinal neuroinflammation via the NLRP3 and astrocyte pathway.

Association Between 1‐Year Endoscopic Outcomes and Long‐Term Clinical and Patient‐Relevant Outcomes in Crohn's Disease

open access: yesJCC Plus, Volume 1, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Achieving endoscopic response (ER), defined as a > 50% reduction from baseline in Simple Endoscopic Score for Crohn's disease (SES‐CD) score, following induction therapy for Crohn's disease (CD) has been linked to improved 1‐year outcomes.

Active Macropinocytosis, Lipid Catabolism, and Exhausting Immune Microenvironment of Ascites Tumor Cells Are Involved in Resistance to Platinum‐Based Therapy in Patients With High‐Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Platinum‐resistant patients exhibited ascites suffer from immune exhaustion and enriched in lipids, which is used by tumor cells as energy resources to counteract platinum damage through active macropinocytosis and lipid catabolism. These resistant features in ascites can also predict, to a certain extent, the efficacy of platinum‐based therapy in ...

Mycochemical Diversity and Therapeutic Potential of Hymenochaetoid Fungi from Central Asia: Regional and Global Perspectives

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Botany, Volume 64, Issue 1, March 2026.
Central Asia harbors a rich yet understudied assemblage of wood‐inhabiting Hymenochaetoid fungi. This review delivers the first comprehensive synthesis of 43 poroid species representing 18 genera documented across montane forests, steppes, and xeric habitats.
