A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Theoretical Design and FPGA-Based Implementation of Higher-Dimensional Digital Chaotic Systems

open access: yes, 2016
Traditionally, chaotic systems are built on the domain of infinite precision in mathematics. However, the quantization is inevitable for any digital devices, which causes dynamical degradation.

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Mathematical modeling of continuous dynamic systems

open access: yesMathematical Modelling, 1987
AbstractMathematical models of physical systems assume several forms depending on their intended use. This paper illustrates the use of a nonlinear and linear model to describe the dynamic response of a particular physical system. A block oriented simulation program, TUTSIM, is presented as the vehicle for obtaining approximate solutions of the ...

A Thermodynamic 3D Model for the Simulation of Diffusion‐Controlled Alloying Processes in Heterogeneous Material Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...

Mathematical modeling and simulation of robotic dynamic systems

open access: yesHerald of the Azerbaijan Engineering Academy, 2022
The mathematical model of the robot generally consists of a nonlinear multi-link system, so varioussimplifications are used in the analysis of its properties. In particular, linear models of robots and controlsystems are commonly used to study the controllability and robustness of robots. In this case, linearmodels are built on the edges of the actions

The Lax-Oleinik semi-group: a Hamiltonian point of view

open access: yes, 2012
The Weak KAM theory was developed by Fathi in order to study the dynamics of convex Hamiltonian systems. It somehow makes a bridge between viscosity solutions of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation and Mather invariant sets of Hamiltonian systems, although this

Air‐Pressure–Actuated Vibroacoustic Metamaterial With Tunable Bandgap: Design, Modeling, and Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the design, modeling, and characterization of air‐pressure–actuated programmable vibroacoustic metamaterials (PVAMM). The study focuses on leveraging air pressure to dynamically tune resonance frequencies for effective noise attenuation.
