Stereoisomerism of the matrine alkaloids
Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 1982The stereoisomerism of compounds of the matrine series is considered on the basis of the authors' own x-ray structural studies of these alkaloids. A corrected series of eight stereoisomers has been drawn up. It has been shown that the numbers of theoretically possible stereoisomers of matrine is thirty-two.

Anticancer Advances of Matrine and Its Derivatives
Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2015As the second leading cause of death in the world, the total number caused by cancer in 2008 is 1.4 million. The great cancer incidence worldwide increases the search for new, safer and efficient anticancer agents (especially to find the new structures and more active anticancer drugs from the natural products) aiming the prevention or the cure of such

Matrin 3: Chromosomal distribution and protein interactions
Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, 2009AbstractMatrin 3 (matr3), an abundant protein of the internal nuclear matrix, has been linked to a variety of functional events. As a step toward defining its multifunctional nature, we have studied the association of matr3 with chromosome territories and identified potential interacting proteins.

Matrine modulates HSC70 levels and rescues ΔF508‐CFTR
Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2012AbstractCystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) is a cAMP‐dependent Cl− channel located in the plasma membrane, and its malfunction results in cystic fibrosis (CF), the most common lethal genetic disease in Caucasians. Most CF patients carry the deletion of Phe508 (ΔF508 mutation); this mutation prevents the delivery of the CFTR to ...

Thermodynamic Properties of Matrine in Ethanol
International Journal of Thermophysics, 2011In this paper, the enthalpies of dissolution of matrine in ethanol (EtOH) were measured using a RD496-2000 Calvet microcalorimeter at 309.65 K under atmospheric pressure. The differential enthalpy (Δdif H m) and molar enthalpy (Δsol H m) of dissolution of ...
