The information matrix test with bootstrap-based covariance matrix estimation. [PDF]
We propose an information matrix test in which the covariance matrix of the vector of indicators is estimated using the parametric bootstrap. Monte Carlo results and heuristic arguments show that its small sample performance is comparable with that of ...

A Sandwich with Water: Bayesian & Frequentist Inference Under Model Misspecification
In this paper we review basic elements of Frequentist inference, specifically maximum likelihood (ML) and M-estimation, to point out a critical flaw of Bayesian methods for hydrologic model training and uncertainty quantification.

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Bootstrapping high-energy observables
In this paper, we set up the numerical S-matrix bootstrap by using the crossing symmetric dispersion relation (CSDR) to write down Roy equations for the partial waves.

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Differentiation of matrix functionals using triangular factorization
In various applications, it is necessary to differentiate a matrix functional w(A(x)), where A(x) is a matrix depending on a parameter vector x. Usually, the functional itself can be readily computed from a triangular factorization of A(x).
