Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Function of Proteoglycans in the Extracellular Matrix.
Proteoglycans are glycosylated proteins which have cova‐lently attached highly anionic glycosaminoglycans. Many forms of proteoglycans are present In virtually all extracellular matrices of connective tissues. The major biological function of proteoglycans derives from the physicochemical characteristics of the glycosaminoglycan component of the ...

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

An Efficient Algorithm for Basic Elementary Matrix Functions with Specified Accuracy and Application
If the matrix function f(At) posses the properties of f(At)=gf(tkA, then the recurrence formula fi−1=gfi,i=N,N−1,⋯,1,f(tA)=f0, can be established. Here, fN=f(AN)=∑j=0majANj,AN=tkNA. This provides an algorithm for computing the matrix function f(At).

Infinite Matrix Products and the Representation of the Matrix Gamma Function
We introduce infinite matrix products including some of their main properties and convergence results. We apply them in order to extend to the matrix scenario the definition of the scalar gamma function given by an infinite product due to Weierstrass.

Interpolation with Meromorphic Matrix Functions [PDF]
A complete solution is given to a first-order pole-zero meromorphic matrix function interpolation problem on a closed Riemann surface. The solution to the interpolation problem is constructed from the solution to a natural linear homogeneous system.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

The pyruvate generator, which causes activation of respiration by extra‐mitochondrial Ca2+, is also present and functional in rat brainstem mitochondria, as it is in other brain regions. This finding is confirmed by experiments with a fully reconstituted malate–aspartate shuttle (MAS).

Endocytic recycling is central to circadian collagen fibrillogenesis and disrupted in fibrosis
Collagen-I fibrillogenesis is crucial to health and development, where dysregulation is a hallmark of fibroproliferative diseases. Here, we show that collagen-I fibril assembly required a functional endocytic system that recycles collagen-I to assemble ...
