A mechanistic approach to design smart scaffolds for tissue engineering [PDF]
This thesis describes a library of novel 3D scaffolds designed and optimized for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. Tissue engineering aims at restoring or regenerating a deamaged tissue by combining cells, derived from a patient ...

Nonreciprocity and magnetic-free isolation based on optomechanical interactions [PDF]
Photonic nonreciprocal components, such as isolators and circulators, provide highly desirable functionalities for optical circuitry. This motivates the active investigation of mechanisms that break reciprocity, and pose alternatives to magneto-optic ...

Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

A new test vector optimization method for failure isolation
In order to improve the fault diagnosis efficiency and shorten the fault isolation time based on the testability modeling, a test vector optimization method is proposed. Aiming at the exact detection and isolation requirements of each failure mode in the

Matrix Isolation of Pb and Pb2
Lead vapor trapped at 20°K in Ar, Kr, Xe, SF6, and in mixtures of these matrix gases showed an atomic absorption line with no multiplet structure and molecular bands of Pb2. Warming the matrices above 20°K shifted the atomic line reversibly to the red while the molecular features did not shift. Bulk diffusion of isolated Pb atoms to produce Pb2 did not

Block CUR: Decomposing Matrices using Groups of Columns
A common problem in large-scale data analysis is to approximate a matrix using a combination of specifically sampled rows and columns, known as CUR decomposition.

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Production of carbon clusters $\text{C}_3$ to $\text{C}_{12}$ with a cryogenic buffer-gas beam source [PDF]
Cryogenic buffer-gas beam sources are capable of producing intense beams of a wide variety of molecules, and have a number of advantages over traditional supersonic expansion sources.
