This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Proper holomorphic mappings of the spectral unit ball
We prove an Alexander type theorem for the spectral unit ball $\Omega_n$ showing that there are no non-trivial proper holomorphic mappings in $\Omega_n$, $n\geq 2$.Comment: 6 ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Reducing Entanglement with Physically Inspired Fermion-To-Qubit Mappings
In ab initio electronic structure simulations, fermion-to-qubit mappings represent the initial encoding step from the problem of fermions into a problem of qubits.

Quantum operation, quantum Fourier transform and semi-definite programming
We analyze a class of quantum operations based on a geometrical representation of $d-$level quantum system (or qudit for short). A sufficient and necessary condition of complete positivity, expressed in terms of the quantum Fourier transform, is found ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Statistical convergence and uniqueness properties of regular matrix summability
This paper extends classical results on regular matrix summability to the framework of statistical convergence. By leveraging density-preserving mappings and constructing oscillating sequences with controlled density properties, we establish fundamental ...

We suggest a sufficient setting on any linear space of sequences V $\mathcal{V}$ such that the class B V s $\mathbb{B}^{s}_{\mathcal{V}}$ of all bounded linear mappings between two arbitrary Banach spaces with the sequence of s-numbers in V $\mathcal{V}$
