Matrix metalloproteinases-9 and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases-1 in sarcoidosis patients [PDF]

open access: yesArhiv za farmaciju, 2017
Matrix metaloproteinases (MMPs) and their specific inhibitors - tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinases (TIMPs) play an important role in pulmonary extracellular matrix destruction. Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease affecting multiple organs.

Expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 and matrix metalloproteinase-9 in recurrent chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, 2013
Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) is involved in the upper airway remodeling process. We hypothesized that MMP had an additive effect on the formation of recurrent nasal polyp.

The Relationship between Matrix Metalloproteinase Gene Polymorphisms and Tumor Type, Tumor Size, and Metastasis in Women with Breast Cancer in Central Iran

open access: yesMiddle East Journal of Cancer, 2018
Background: Matrix metalloproteinases-2 and -9 play important roles in the development of breast cancer by hydrolyzing the extracellular matrix. Since −1306C/T and −1562C/T polymorphisms are located at the promoter regions of the matrix metalloproteinase-

Matrix metalloproteinase 3 (stromelysin) activates the precursor for the human matrix metalloproteinase 9.

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1992
Matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9), also known as 92-kDa gelatinase/type IV collagenase, is secreted from neutrophils, macrophages, and a number of transformed cells in zymogen form. Here we report that matrix metalloproteinase 3 (MMP-3/stromelysin) is an activator of the precursor of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (proMMP-9).
