Aspects of ALE Matrix Models and Twisted Matrix Strings [PDF]
We examine several aspects of the formulation of M(atrix)-Theory on ALE spaces. We argue for the existence of massless vector multiplets in the resolved $A_{n-1}$ spaces, as required by enhanced gauge symmetry in M-Theory, and that these states might ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Towards a double scaling limit for tensor models: probing sub-dominant orders
The definition of a double scaling limit represents an important goal in the development of tensor models. We take the first steps towards this goal by extracting and analysing the next-to-leading order contributions, in the 1/N expansion, for the ...

We find that the equations describing T-branes with constant worldvolume fields are identical to the equations found by Banks, Seiberg and Shenker twenty years ago to describe longitudinal five-branes in the BFSS matrix model.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Quadrality for supersymmetric matrix models
We introduce a new duality for N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 supersymmetric gauged matrix models. This 0d duality is an order 4 symmetry, namely an equivalence between four different theories, hence we call it Quadrality.

Pseudo-hermitian random matrix models: General formalism
Pseudo-hermitian matrices are matrices hermitian with respect to an indefinite metric. They can be thought of as the truncation of pseudo-hermitian operators, defined over some Krein space, together with the associated metric, to a finite dimensional ...

Density-matrix spectra for integrable models [PDF]
The spectra which occur in numerical density-matrix renormalization group (DMRG) calculations for quantum chains can be obtained analytically for integrable models via corner transfer matrices.
