A new localization set for generalized eigenvalues
A new localization set for generalized eigenvalues is obtained. It is shown that the new set is tighter than that in (Numer. Linear Algebra Appl. 16:883-898, 2009). Numerical examples are given to verify the corresponding results.

Matrix pencil-based analysis of multirate simulation schemes
This paper focuses on multirate time-domain simulations of power system models. It proposes a matrix pencil-based approach to evaluate the spurious numerical deformation introduced into power system dynamics by a given multirate integration scheme ...

The Quasi-Kronecker Form For Matrix Pencils [PDF]
We study singular matrix pencils and show that the so-called Wong sequences yield a quasi-Kronecker form. This form decouples the matrix pencil into an underdetermined part, a regular part, and an overdetermined part. This decoupling is sufficient to fully characterize the solution behavior of the differential-algebraic equations associated with the ...

Sylvester matrix equation for matrix pencils
Let be given complex matrices \(B_1\), \(A_1 \in \mathbb{C}^{p_1 \times q_1}\) and \(B_2\), \(A_2 \in \mathbb{C}^{p_2 \times q_2}\), and consider the homogeneous system of equations \[ A_1 X - YA_2 = 0, \quad B_1 X - YB_2 = 0. \tag{1} \] The dimension of the set of solutions of (1) is obtained in terms of the Kronecker invariants of the matrix pencils \

Joint Estimation of DOA and TDOA of Multiple Reflections by Matrix Pencil in Mobile Communications
This paper presents the joint estimation of the direction of arrival (DOA) and the time difference of arrival (TDOA) for multipath signals, which is the central issue for mobile communications.

Equivalent circuit model of electromagnetic behaviour of wire objects by the matrix pencil method [PDF]
The electromagnetic behaviour of thin-wire objects is an important engineering problem. A general analysis of such objects is done according to the moment method approach within an antenna-based electromagnetic model.

Canonical form of symplectic matrix pencils
