Matrix pencil method and its performance

ICASSP-88., International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003
A novel method called matrix pencil method for estimating poles or frequencies from exponentially damped or undamped sinusoidal sequences is presented as an alternative to either the ESPRIT or pencil-of-functions method. A singular generalized eigenvalue problem in this method is solved in several different ways.

UWB antenna 3D characterization using Matrix Pencil method

2014 IEEE Conference on Antenna Measurements & Applications (CAMA), 2014
This paper presents an application of the Matrix Pencil (MP) method to modelize UWB exponential Tapered Slot Antenna (ETSA) radiation performances. The determination of the 3D Impulse Response of Antenna (IRA) is performed starting from measured data. Using the Matrix Pencil method, we establish a compact model of the antenna.

Stimulus Artifact Removal using Matrix Pencil Method

2018 26th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM), 2018
The paper deals with a novel technique to identify the artifact shape and reduce residual threat during its removal. The method is based on the stimulus artifact reconstruction by using the high resolution Matrix Pencil method. The proposed technique has proved to be efficient in eliminating the stimulus artifact from signals which were recorded on a ...

Spectral problems for matrix pencils. Methods and algorithms. I

Russian Journal of Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modelling, 1988
Summary: \([\)For part I, cf. ibid. 3, No. 5, 337-371 (1988)\(]\). \noindent A review of methods and algorithms for solving spectral problems for regular polynomial matrix pencils is presented. Main attention is paid to those methods which are constructed without exploiting the connection between polynomial pencils and linear accompanying pencils or ...

Quantitative NMR spectroscopy by matrix pencil methods

International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology, 1992
AbstractThe matrix pencil (MP) method, based on the singular value decomposition (SVD), is applied to quantitative NMR spectroscopy. Its relationship to other SVD‐based methods is also presented. Simulations and applications are given to demonstrate the capability of superior performance.©1993 John Wiley & Sons ...

Recursive matrix pencil method

2017 2nd International Ural Conference on Measurements (UralCon), 2017
The main concern for many applications (for example, for Coriolis Mass Flow Meter signal processing in two-phase flow conditions) is to track several domain poles of signals with minimum delay. The Matrix Pencil method (MPM) estimates the signal as a sum of complex exponentials.

Matrix pencil methods for ISAR image reconstruction

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 1993
The application of matrix pencil (MP) methods to inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging is considered. The noise sensitivity of the reported MP methods is studied. Numerical results that provide insights into the perturbation variances of the estimated 2-D frequencies are given. It is shown that the variant method (see Y.

MATRIX PENCIL METHODS FOR 2-D FREQUENCY ESTIMATION

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1996
The problem of estimating two-dimensional frequencies of multiple sinusoids embedded in noise is addressed. A variant of the recently reported matrix pencil method is proposed. Numerical results that provide insights into the perturbation deviations of the estimated two-dimensional frequencies are given for both methods. The variant method is shown to
