Estimating Direction of Arrival by Using Two-Dimensional State-Space Balance Method
A study of a two-dimensional state-space balance (2D SSB) method for estimating direction of arrival (DOA) for uniform rectangular array (URA) is presented in this letter.

Abstract Divergent thinking (DT) is an important constituent of creativity that captures aspects of fluency and originality. The literature lacks multivariate studies that report relationships between DT and its aspects with relevant covariates, such as cognitive abilities, personality traits (e.g. openness), and insight. In two multivariate studies (N

Blind Multiuser Detection for Long-Code CDMA Systems with Transmission-Induced Cyclostationarity
We consider blind channel identification and signal separation in long-code CDMA systems. First, by modeling the received signals as cyclostationary processes with modulation-induced cyclostationarity, long-code CDMA system is characterized using a time ...

Research on fault line selection method of mine power network
In view of characteristics of DC component of transient zero-sequence current in fault lines is larger than that of normal lines when additional DC source system of mine power network occurrs single-phase earth fault, a fault line selection method of ...

Matrix Pencil Method for Estimation of Parameters of Vector Processes
Summary: The paper considers one of the modern parametric methods of signal processing -- the matrix pencil method (MPM). The method makes it possible to effectively estimate signal parameters from its samples which is the sum of complex exponentials.

Variational and numerical methods for symmetric matrix pencils [PDF]
A review is presented of some recent advances in variational and numerical methods for symmetric matrix pencils λA – B in which A is nonsingular, A and B are hermitian, but neither is definite. The topics covered include minimax and maximin characterisations of eigenvalues, perturbation by semidefinite matrices and interlacing properties of real ...

Design of random and sparse metalens with matrix pencil method
We propose a matrix pencil method for designing one- or two- dimensional (1D or 2D) metalenses with randomly distributed meta-atoms. In contrast to the standard random synthesis algorithm that only randomizes the position of the meta-atoms, the proposed method designs both the position and phase of each meta-atom rigorously.
