Matrix-Sequences of Geometric Means in the Case of Hidden (Asymptotic) Structures

open access: yesMathematics
In the current work, we analyze the spectral distribution of the geometric mean of two or more matrix-sequences constituted by Hermitian positive definite matrices, under the assumption that all input matrix-sequences belong to the same Generalized ...

Narrative Matrix Theory: An integrated framework that incorporates management theory and narrative

open access: yesAAOS Transactions, 2022
Recently, management theories such as knowledge creation, ambidextrous organization, and dynamic capability have gained attention. However, an issue is that there is no structured way to understand and apply them in an integrated way in practice ...

Field theory as a matrix model [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2000
A new formulation of four dimensional quantum field theories, such as scalar field theory, is proposed as a large N limit of a special NxN matrix model. Our reduction scheme works beyond planar approximation and applies for QFT with finite number of fields. It uses quenched coordinates instead of quenched momenta of the old Eguchi-Kawai reduction known

Axiomatic S-Matrix Theory [PDF]

open access: yesReviews of Modern Physics, 1962
The general properties of the S matrix usually deduced from field theory can be derived from postulates expressing very general physical principles. This provides a basis for the establishment of S-matrix theory as an independent and self-contained framework for describing elementaryparticle physics, a framework suited to the modern practical ...

On the S-matrix of Liouville theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
The S-matrix for each chiral sector of Liouville theory on a cylinder is computed from the loop expansion of correlation functions of a one-dimensional field theory on a circle with a non-local kinetic energy and an exponential potential.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

The Application of the Combined Fission Matrix Theory in Fast Reactors

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2021
The combined fission matrix theory is a recently-developed hybrid neutron transport method. It features high efficiency, fidelity, and resolution whole-core transport calculation. The theory is based on the assumption that the fission matrix element ai,j

Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

A Further Stability Analysis of Neutral Systems With Multiple Time-Varying Delays

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper makes some significant contributions to global stability problems of linear neutral systems involving multiple time delay terms in states and multiple neutral delay terms in the time derivative of the states of the system.
