The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Matrix Theory, AdS/CFT, and Gauge/Gravity Correspondence

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2013
With N→∞  being fixed, R→∞, the free energy of the Matrix theory on a supergravity background F is a functional of F, W=W(R,F). We try to relate this functional with Seff(R,F), the effective action of F, where F is translation invariant along x-.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Why matrix theory is hard [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Recently Sen and Seiberg gave a prescription for constructing the matrix theory in any superstring background. We use their prescription to test the finite N matrix theory conjecture on an ALE space.

Fisher-Hartwig asymptotics and log-correlated fields in random matrix theory

open access: yes, 2023
This thesis is concerned with establishing and studying connections between random matrices and log-correlated fields. This is done with the help of formulae, including some newly established ones, for the asymptotics of Toeplitz, and Toeplitz+Hankel ...

On community matrix theory in experimental plant ecology [PDF]

open access: yesWeb Ecology, 2008
In multi-species communities the stability of a system is difficult to assess from field observations. This is the case for example for competitive interactions in plant communities. If a mathematical model can be formulated that underlies the processes

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Emergent spacetime & quantum entanglement in matrix theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
In the context of the Bank-Fishler-Shenker-Susskind Matrix theory, we analyze a spherical membrane in light-cone M theory along with two asymptotically distant probes.
