Numerical analysis of cavitation shedding flow around a three-dimensional hydrofoil using an improved filter-based model

open access: yes, 2017
The cavitation shedding flow around a 3-D Clark-Y hydrofoil is simulated by using an improved filter-based model (FBM) and a mass transfer cavitation model with the consideration of the maximum density ratio effect between the liquid and the vapor.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

A new distributed maximum flow algorithm for planar directed network

open access: yes, 2009
[[abstract]]In this paper we present a distributed algorithm for maximum flow in a planar network with source s and sink t both on the outer boundary face. The distributed algorithm is based on Berge's centralized uppermost path algorithm.

Effects of pulsating flow on an ultrasonic gas flow meter

open access: yes, 1994
A series of tests was carried out to assess the effects of pulsating flow on a small-dimension ultrasonic gas flowmeter. Three different parameters were investigated: pulsation amplitude, pulsation frequency and mean flow velocity.

Uninterrupted Maximum Flow on Signalized Traffic Networks

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation
This paper describes a traffic signal control strategy that allows motorists who travel at a recommended speed on suburban arterial two-way roads with a common cycle time to make every traffic signal.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Goldberg-Tarjan's maximum flow algorithm

open access: yes, 2020
Ovaj završni rad bavi se općim Goldberg-Tarjan algoritmom i problemom maksimalnog toka. Cilj problema maksimalnog toka je pronaći najveći mogući protok kroz protočnu mrežu.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

The maximum-flow problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Maximum flow problem is one of the fundamental problems in network flow theory and has been extensively investigated. In this work we describe the development of efficient algorithms for the maximum flow problem and the current situation in this area ...
