Shear Stress Analysis of EHL Oil Films Based on Thermal EHL Theory - In the Case of Elliptical Contact Condition -

open access: yesTribology Online, 2009
Under the elliptical contact conditions with an ellipticity parameter of Ke=1.4, a non-Newtonian thermal EHL analysis was carried out. The lubricating oil was assumed to behave as a Maxwell fluid.

Generalized Mittag-Leffler Kernel Form Solutions of Free Convection Heat and Mass Transfer Flow of Maxwell Fluid with Newtonian Heating: Prabhakar Fractional Derivative Approach

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2022
In this article, the effects of Newtonian heating along with wall slip condition on temperature is critically examined on unsteady magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows of Prabhakar-like non integer Maxwell fluid near an infinitely vertical plate under ...

Modeling Maxwell’s demon with a microcanonical Szilard engine [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2011
Following recent work by Marathe and Parrondo [PRL, 104, 245704 (2010)], we construct a classical Hamiltonian system whose energy is reduced during the adiabatic cycling of external parameters, when initial conditions are sampled microcanonically. Combining our system with a device that measures its energy, we propose a cyclic procedure during which ...

Holographic model for heavy quarks in anisotropic hot dense QGP with external magnetic field

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We present a five-dimensional fully anisotropic holographic model supported by Einstein-dilaton-three-Maxwell action. One of the Maxwell fields provides chemical potential; finite chemical potential values are considered.

Nonminimal Einstein–Maxwell–Vlasov-axion model [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 2013
We establish a new self-consistent system of equations accounting for a nonminimal coupling of the cooperative gravitational, electromagnetic and pseudoscalar (axion) fields in a multi-component relativistic plasma. The axionic extension of the nonminimal Einstein-Maxwell-Vlasov theory is based on two consistent procedures.

Modeling and Mathematical Investigation of Blood-Based Flow of Compressible Rate Type Fluid with Compressibility Effects in a Microchannel

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
In this investigation, the compressibility effects are visualized on the flow of non-Newtonian fluid, which obeys the stress–strain relationship of an upper convected Maxwell model in a microchannel. The fundamental laws of momentum and mass conservation

Analysis of Implementation Effectiveness of Two Working Fluids Characterized by Different Viscoelastic Characteristics at Hydrodynamic Impact on the Borehole Bottom Zone

open access: yesНаука и техника, 2019
Combination of hydrodynamic impact on the formation with acid treatment may be seen as a promising direction in the field of well development and repair in complex geological conditions.

Maxwell theory from matrix model [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2001
We present a scenario for deriving Maxwell theory from IIB matrix model. Four dimensional spacetime and theories on it relate different dimensional ones by applying appropriate limits of the backgrounds of matrix model. It is understood by looking at open strings bits as bi-local fields on the spacetime, which are decoupled from the bulk in the limits.

Simple Scalar Model and Analysis for Large Amplitude Oscillatory Shear

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2016
This work presents a simple, scalar model for predicting a nonlinear shear stress response of a viscoelastic fluid in Large Amplitude Oscillatory Shear (LAOS) experiments.
