Global Classical Solutions of the 1.5D Relativistic Vlasov–Maxwell–Chern–Simons System

open access: yesAxioms, 2023
We investigate the kinetic model of the relativistic Vlasov–Maxwell–Chern–Simons system, which originates from gauge theory. This system can be seen as an electromagnetic fields (i.e., Maxwell–Chern–Simons fields) perturbation for the classical Vlasov ...

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

Gravitational quasinormal modes for Lifshitz black branes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We study the scalar and vector channels of gravitational quasinormal modes for Lifshitz black branes emerging in Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton and Einstein-Proca theories in four and five dimensions, finding significant differences between the two models.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Marshall–Olkin Length-Biased Maxwell Distribution and Its Applications

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2020
It is well established that classical one-parameter distributions lack the flexibility to model the characteristics of a complex random phenomenon. This fact motivates clever generalizations of these distributions by applying various mathematical schemes.

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Thermal stretching in two-phase porous media: Physical basis for Maxwell model

open access: yes, 2013
An alternate yet general form of the classical effective thermal conductivity model (Maxwell model) for two-phase porous materials is presented, serving an explicit thermo-physical basis. It is demonstrated that the reduced effective thermal conductivity

New Maxwell Creep Model Based on Fractional and Elastic-Plastic Elements

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
Creep models are mainly used to describe the rheological behaviour of geotechnical materials. An important research focus for studying creep in geotechnical materials is the development of a model with few parameters and good simulation performance ...

Titanium Suboxides Responsible for Electronic Anomaly Near Room Temperature in the Ti3C2Tx MXene

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Our multi‐technique study reveals that the near‐room‐temperature anomaly in Ti3C2Tx MXene is linked to titanium suboxide nanodomains, including Ti3O5, embedded within the MXene host. Their temperature‐driven transformation provides an alternative explanation to solvent‐ and swelling‐based models and offers new insight into the thermally activated ...
