Decoupling structure of the principal sigma model-Maxwell interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The principal sigma model and Abelian gauge fields coupling is studied. By expressing the first-order formulation of the gauge field equations an implicit on-shell scalar-gauge field decoupling structure is revealed.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Maxwell Equations in Complex Form of Majorana - Oppenheimer, Solutions with Cylindric Symmetry in Riemann S_{3} and Lobachevsky H_{3} Spaces

open access: yes, 2009
Complex formalism of Riemann - Silberstein - Majorana - Oppenheimer in Maxwell electrodynamics is extended to the case of arbitrary pseudo-Riemannian space - time in accordance with the tetrad recipe of Tetrode - Weyl - Fock - Ivanenko. In this approach,

Quark deconfinement transition in hyperonic matter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We discuss the properties of the hadron-quark mixed phase in compact stars using a realistic equation of state of hyperonic matter and the MIT bag model.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Fractional Maxwell model of viscoelastic biological materials

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences, 2018
This article focuses on fractional Maxwell model of viscoelastic materials, which are a generalization of classic Maxwell model to non-integer order derivatives. To build a fractional Maxwell model when only the noise-corrupted discrete-time measurements

Simulation of Plasmonics Nanodevices with Coupled Maxwell and Schrödinger Equations using the FDTD Method

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2012
Maxwell and Schrödinger equations are coupled to incorporate quantum effects for the simulation of plasmonics nanodevices. Maxwell equations with Lorentz-Drude (LD) dispersive model are applied to large size plasmonics components, whereas coupled Maxwell

Models for low-energy Lorentz violation in the photon sector: Addendum to 'Consistency of isotropic modified Maxwell theory'

open access: yes, 2011
In a previous article [arXiv:1011.4258], we established the consistency of isotropic modified Maxwell theory for a finite range of the Lorentz-violating parameter \tilde{kappa}_{tr}, which includes both positive and negative values of \tilde{kappa}_{tr}.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Maxwell group and HS field theory

open access: yes, 2013
We consider the master fields for HS multiplets defined on 10-dimensional tensorial extension \tilde{\cal M} of D=4 space-time described as a coset \tilde{\cal M}={\cal M}/Sl(2;C) of 16-parameter Maxwell group {\cal M}.
