MMSE based receiver design for MC-CDMA systems

14th IEEE Proceedings on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2003. PIMRC 2003., 2004
Multicarrier code-division multiple-access (MC-CDMA) is a potentially attractive multiple access technique for future wireless communication systems. In this paper space-frequency minimum mean squared error based parallel interference cancellation receiver (SF-MMSE/PIC) is developed for MC-CDMA systems which produces the SF-MMSE combining as a ...

Adaptive subchannel allocation in multiuser MC-CDMA systems

IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2004. GLOBECOM '04., 2005
We treat the multiuser scheduling problem in MC-CDMA systems. To reduce the implementation complexity, we present an efficient structure for the multiuser scheduler. Given the active users and the channels, the subchannel allocator then aims at maximizing the instantaneous system throughput.

Accuracy of Interfering Power Estimation in MC-CDMA Systems

GLOBECOM '03. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37489), 2004
In this paper, we present an analytical approach to study the power estimate of the interference in a MC-CDMA transmission scheme. The receiver is implementing a simple RAKE architecture that is not near-far resistant. The regenerated signal (RS) technique is applied on a symbol basis for power estimation of the jamming signal.

Design of pilot signal for MC-CDMA uplink systems

2004 IEEE International Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37577), 2004
Coherent demodulation needs to maintain the symbol timing synchronization and to estimate the channel response in multicarrier code division multiple access systems. The use of inverse DFT (IDFT) is often considered to generate a pilot signal for this propose.

A synchronization scheme with less complexity on MC-CDMA systems

IEEE 54th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC Fall 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37211), 2002
Multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) technology, which combines advantages of both OFDM and CDMA, has superior performance when transmitting high rate data in wireless fading channels. However, synchronization performance plays a key role on MC-CDMA systems.

A MC-CDMA system analysis in a software radio context

Annales Des Télécommunications, 2002
This paper presents a Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (Mc-Cdma) system analysis in a software radio context. Based on a combination of multi-carrier modulation and code division multiple access,Mc-Cdma benefits from the main advantages from both schemes: high spectral efficiency, high flexibility, multiple access capabilities, etc.

New Spreading Codes for MC-CDMA and OFDM Systems

11th IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC'06), 2006
Recently, there is an interest to increase capacity of multicarrier code division multiplexing (MC-CDMA) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) by using spreading codes. Some spreading codes only support up to K = N+M, where M \le N. In this paper, we propose a new spreading code with low cross correlation and high autocorrelation while ...

On the Performance of a FH-MC-CDMA System

2009 IEEE International Conference on Communications Workshops, 2009
In what follows a novel quasisynchronous FH-MC- CDMA system with threshold reception is introduced. An ex- pression for the optimum (in maximum a posteriori sense ) threshold value is obtained. Error and erasure probability values for the system under consideration are estimated.

PAPR Characteristics Analysis of MC-CDMA System

2011
The multi-carrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) is a multi-carrier CDMA system based on the frequency-domain spreading. In the performance of anti-ISI, it has a distinct advantage over conventional single-carrier CDMA when transmitting high-speed data. However, the MC-CDMA system inherits higher peak-average power ratio (PAPR) problem from the OFDM systems, which ...

Exploitation of diversity in MC-CDMA systems

6th IEE International Conference on 3G and Beyond (05/11182), 2005
MC-CDMA has an additional degree of freedom to exploit diversity compared to OFDMA or MC-TDMA due to spreading. This paper analyzes the achievable BER lower bounds for different MC-CDMA schemes exploiting channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter, the receiver, or both.
