LA-MC-ICP-MS U-Pb dating of low-U garnets reveals multiple episodes of skarn formation in the volcanic-hosted iron mineralization system, Awulale belt, Central Asia

GSA Bulletin, 2020
Volcanic-hosted iron deposits of the eastern Awulale metallogenetic belt in Central Asia possess a reserve of over 1.2 billion tons of iron ores and constitute one of the most important basements for high-grade iron resources in China.

Effective Correction of Mass Bias for Rhenium Measurements by MC‐ICP‐MS

Geostandards and Geoanalytical Research, 2009
The geochemistry of Re‐Os and the recent use of Re as a non‐traditional stable isotope both need accurate and precise quantification of 187Re/185Re ratios. This paper reports rhenium isotopic data obtained from the analysis of a standard solution and geological samples by MC‐ICP‐MS.

High-precision analysis of calcium isotopes using a Nu Sapphire collision cell (CC)-MC-ICP-MS

Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, 2022
This study presents high-precision analyses of calcium (Ca) isotope ratios using a collision-cell multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (CC-MC-ICP-MS, Nu Sapphire).

Accurate measurement of neodymium isotopic composition using Neptune MC-ICP-MS

Frontiers of Chemistry in China, 2008
This paper reports the measurement of the Neodymium isotopic composition by Neptune Multiple Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) over the last two years. Although there is concomitant Cerium in the chemical separation process, this has no significant influence on the Neodymium analysis.

Precise determination of lithium isotopes in seawater using MC-ICP-MS

Microchemical Journal, 2010
Abstract Li (lithium) isotope analysis using MC-ICP-MS is a very powerful tracer measurement method. This is widely used for identification of Li isotopes in many fields of study. This useful method, however, has an effect on the natural Li isotope background. This is impacted by the instrument matrix.

Cadmium isotope ratio measurements in environmental matrices by MC-ICP-MS

J. Anal. At. Spectrom., 2014
Various stages of an analytical method for high-precision cadmium (Cd) isotope ratio measurements by MC-ICP-MS (sample preparation, matrix separation, instrumental analysis and data evaluation) were critically evaluated and optimized for carbon-rich environmental samples.

Mass independent bias in W isotopes in MC-ICP-MS instruments

Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, 2011
The determination of natural mass independent isotope variations by precise isotopic measurements of elements by multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) requires a detailed understanding of the instrumental mass bias.

Chromium isotope ratio measurements in environmental matrices by MC-ICP-MS

Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry, 2016
A single column separation and concentration/isotope ratio measurement method for Cr by ICP-MS (single and multicollector) was evaluated and optimized for geological and biological matrices. Results showδ53Cr homogeneity in different urban soil profiles and suggest isotopically light signature for airborne Cr emitted by steelworks.
