Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.

Mcl-1 confers protection of Her2-positive breast cancer cells to hypoxia: therapeutic implications

open access: yesBreast Cancer Research, 2016
Background Molecular mechanisms leading to the adaptation of breast cancer (BC) cells to hypoxia are largely unknown. The anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family member myeloid cell leukemia-1 (Mcl-1) is frequently amplified in BC; and elevated Mcl-1 levels have ...

Anatomical Study With Clinical Significance of the Buccomandibular Space: A Complementary Ultrasonographic Study to Cadaveric Dissection

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The buccomandibular space is a potential space located within the oral and maxillofacial regions. This morphological study aimed to provide a detailed anatomical description and ultrasonographic examination of the buccomandibular space and its adjacent structures, to discuss its clinical significance—particularly in relation to pathological ...

Radiographic Predictors of Medial Collateral Ligament Injury and Stability of the Elbow

open access: yesJBJS Open Access, 2019
Background:. It has been postulated that injury to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) of the elbow is rare in cases of elbow fracture-dislocation, and if the MCL is torn, it does not require surgical repair.

WSPLK: A systematic approach to the thermodynamic characterization of light and heavy Mexican crude oil

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract A streamlined characterization framework (WSPLK) is presented for modelling complex reservoir fluids using cubic equations of state. The key methodological contribution is the introduction of a single global parameter ε directly into Pedersen's boiling‐point correlation, restoring pure‐component calibration and eliminating the need for ...

Bronchial bacterial colonization and the susceptibility of isolated bacteria in patients with lung malignancy

open access: yesRadiology and Oncology
Postoperative pneumonia (POP) remains a leading cause of mortality following lung surgery. Recent studies have confirmed that the respiratory tract below the vocal cords is not sterile and often harbours potentially pathogenic microorganisms (PPMs ...
