FEBS Letters, EarlyView.This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A novel bidirectional LSTM deep learning approach for COVID-19 forecasting
Scientific Reports, 2023 COVID-19 has resulted in significant morbidity and mortality globally. We develop a model that uses data from thirty days before a fixed time point to forecast the daily number of new COVID-19 cases fourteen days later in the early stages of the pandemic.
